Kim has been passionate about natural birth even before becoming pregnant with her first son over 17 years ago. It would be years later before she recognized that early passion as a calling on her life.

Kim and her husband, Michael, reside in Grapevine and have three teenage sons and a two year old daughter, all birthed naturally, with three different types of providers; including an OB in the hospital, a hospital water birth with a Midwife and her last son and daughter, born at home with the assistance of midwives. After “catching” her own baby in the water at home she would soon feel that tug on her heart to help other women experience the gentle care and beautiful birth that had changed her life.

It is her personal birthing experiences in several birthing locations that gives her the unique ability and experience to help those who are seeking a natural birth at home or in a birth center. It is her desire to see more and more women being educated about their options in childbirth and being given the opportunity to have a peaceful intervention-free birth.

In early 2014, Kim founded Grapevine Birthing Center offering a central location to families in the DFW area to birth in a beautiful, updated and modern facility surrounded by providers who will know and care for them throughout their pregnancy. Kim loves the families she gets to serve and is so grateful for the opportunity to share in such an intimate and life changing experience with them.
