Cait grew up around midwives in her home state of Alaska, and knew at an early age that her calling would be caring for families and catching their babies.

After marrying her childhood sweetheart, naturally birthing five of her own babies and moving 4,000 miles south, she began her apprenticeship in Dallas and trained under 10 exceptional midwives in Hospital, home and birth center settings.

The heart of Cait’s philosophy is her belief that all birth is sacred and that the pregnancy journey deserves a skilled companion who will bear witness and guard this natural process.

Between births and clinical practice, Cait still manages to knit, hike, ride her horse, and plan her next family adventure.

She is excited for the opportunity to help many more families at Grapevine Birthing Center.
